How long after I am vaccinated can I hug my grandchildren?
Do I need to get both doses of the same vaccine or can I get one of each?
Which vaccine is the most effective?
When it comes to COVID-19 and vaccine, there is no such thing as a dumb question and certainly no shortage of them. From the very first mention of a novel virus threatening the world a year ago, there have been queries and concerns. The introduction of three vaccine options prompted even more.
If you still have lingering questions, a Hartford HealthCare infectious disease expert has answers for you.
Dr. Ulysses Wu, director of infectious disease with Hartford HealthCare and its chief epidemiologist, will answer any COVID-19 vaccine questions as part of a free educational Walk to Wellness event April 13 from 8:30 to 9 a.m.
Typically, Walk events are held in person at the Westfarms mall. Dr. Wu will be on hand there for anyone who comes to walk and learn – wearing a mask and physically distanced, of course. People can also participate virtually this month by watching Facebook Live on the Hartford HealthCare page.
Those attending in person can pick up such complimentary wellness supplies as hand sanitizer, disposable masks, gloves and sanitizing wipes. The event is free but registration is required to control the number of people there. To register, call 1.855.HHC.HERE (1.855.442.4373) or click here.
To participate virtually, click here. You can enter any questions into the comment section and the team on site will make sure Dr. Wu addresses them. Registration is not required to join via Facebook Live.
